great pics Lee, I's still amazed you cant swivil the TV round on its pole though, you have so much wasted space at the back of that stand, it would be so much easier to have been able to put the stand square in the corner and then swivel the screen round to what ever viewing angle you needed..

50" of nicola blackstock.... thats enough to put me of this set

They cerainly look nice. But several of them are in the wrong aspect ratio.

i got the IXOS - 611 flat scart to scart lead off ebay for £25.00,
http://search.ebay.co.uk/_W0QQsassZfillQ5fyourQ5fboots
that runs the cable box to tv, and i changed the video settings on the cable box to RGB

i have the tv permantly set on widescreen, in the set up menu i turned "auto format" off because certain programmes kept showing in 4:3 ratio and i didnt like it.

Hi guys and gals

A bit off topic but I'm trying to find out from as many people as possible.
Do any of you have any kind of red colour staining in your picture. on mine greys don't look natural to the left hand side of the screen.

I tried a calibration disc similar to DVE and on the brightness test you can clearly see a large patch of red colour from top left to bottom middle in an arc when brightness is on full. It can't be the speakers being too close as i spoke to the engineer who is coming to look this afternoon.

Bring back Chas the busty barmaid, I can put up with her all day in widescreen.

In the same menu you can set the Sony to use smart mode which will rescale 4:3 pictures to fill the screen, I think better then just having everything in wide mode which leads to a squashed look with non wide material.

HTH
