I've tried both, and imo it's slightly better on scart than s-video. I would try component but the x-box uses that.

I don't think the ps2 has the same potential to look great on large tv's as the x-box does. It probably depends on the game. Other than choosing RGB, there's no possible settings change to make that would improve things. Like I said, even with RGB the quality is only marginally better.

The ps3 will probably prove to be a greater leap in quality from the ps2 than perhaps even the x-box 360 is to the x-box.

Maybe someone else has a set-up that gets better quality?

I had mine connected through scart (now i'm using component). Looked great but be sure to be using a proper cable or it will get all fuzzy and stuff

As a side note, i found (like many in this and other forums) that in many PS2 games, component doesn't bring a noticeable increase in PQ and in fact, the TV makes the image look better in some games when not in progressive scan... PS3 can't come soon enough

Mines connected using cheapo £9.99 component cables, but I can't compare with other outputs cos I've not tried them, but image is satisfactory.
