Barco G 808 adjustment advice??

Hi

I have my BarcoG 808s set to 1440 x 960p (48/72/75hz) fed with a rock pro scaler and I have had it set to that resolution for the last 4 years and the projector has done almost 2000 hours from new tubes. It was bought from and set up by Roland.
I recently bought an Xbox 360 which is connected to the projecter (via the rock HDTV bypass) using the VGA lead. It is outputting 720p
The problem I have is that the graphics, while stunning looking, are overlapping the left hand side of the screen and so projecting on part of the acoustic panels on the front wall along the side of the screen. The right hand side of the screen seems to be spot on.

While I know about simple adjustments such as convergence I am not too sure about anything else such as memory blocks and obviously the last thing I want to do is end us screwing up the current settings.

If I pull in the picture on the left hand side will the projector save the setting automatically just for 720p or does it alter everything.

An idiots walkthrough would be appreciated as it would also be set up for future high def 720p sources.

Cheers
Daz

You're set up for 960p, so mucking around with the settings for 720p isn't going to screw up your memry blocks for the former.

So plug in your XBox, call up the genlocked pattern, shove your face in th lenses and check your raster is centred and not overflowing the tube edges too much (Barcos all seem to have big rasters). Assuming all is well, then shove up the picture and use the horizontal PHASE (not raster shift) to centre your image. At this stage you may have a little overlap both sides of your screen. Check your tube faces again, make sure your piccy is comfortably within the phosphour.

Look at your screen. Either horizontally squeeze your pic a touch, or just increase the blanking if it's just the fag ends spilling over.
