Panny DMRES20D and Homechoice Issues

Hi,

Just bought DMRES20D. Trying to put Homechoice through it but it turns the homechoice picture green and no sound when the DVD recorder is on, when off there is no sound on homechoice (also, no RGB picture).

Any ideas?

I would make sure that you are connecting the box to AV2 on the DVD recorder, but if there is still no sound then put something else through AV2 to test it like a video recorder or games console.

If there is no RGB loop through the DVD recorder then you must also make sure that the HC box is set to output RGB.

I have done what you suggested and my PS2 suffers the same fate. I was sold on the es20 because of the RGB loop through feature. Could you suggest anything else?

The only thing I can think of is to make sure that the AV1 output on the ES20 has been set to RGB in Functions/Setup/Connections. If this doesn't cure it then it could well be a fault in the ES20 based on the fact that it does the same thing with the PS2.
