Toshiba SD210E with Philips 32DW9625....

I have just bought the above, I am happy with the picture from digital terrestial broadcasts. The picture from the DVD is very sharp and colours are vibrant and there is good contrast to the pictures. However on some scenes in any DVD movie, it seems to display an almost video like quality, in that i mean it looks like the movie was shot in video instead of film. Is there something wrong with my DVD player? I have connected it with a IXOS 126av SCART cable to the TV and all is set up to be RGB. Can anyone offer any suggestion as to what the problem might be?

Hi Neily,

I think it comes from your TV set.

I suppose this is a 100 hz one with some special processes that treat the picture (like DNM or something like that).

I think you have to turn all these picture treatment processes off when watching a DVD and it will be better.

Bye.
