Humax 9200T _TS Files to DVD sorted

Finally found a program that will let me do whatever I like to the downloaded TS files from the Humax.
After downloading the files to the PC and renaming them with a .mpg extension, Roxio easy media centre let me use them, edit to remove ads and then burn to a DVD file on the HDD with no hassles like other programs. From there I could I supposed convert to mpeg4 AVI etc
I haven't explored all the features yet but this alone makes it very useful for storage of TV shows to DVD

Thanks. I have Roxio Easy CD/DVD Creator 7, and it cannot do this. What version are you using?

If you use HDTV to MPEG2 converter at http://www.midwinter.com/~bcooley/

It will convert your *.ts file from your PVR to MPEG2 files for burning to DVD in most burning software. It is very quick in opereation. (A couple of mins for a 1H show.)

I was in PC World today and saw the latest Easy Media Creator 8 Suite at a special offer of £39.99 (cheaper overall than the internet). This is the most functional of Roxio's stuff, so I splashed out thinking it must work. But I still cannot read the Humax files! Tell me, what's the trick? (or have you just played it on me!)

That is what I used version 8, try renaming the humax file with a .mpg extension and it should stop ignoring them.

Version 8, I meant to say.
I knew that 7 doesn't do it.

I did. It appears that the file I was using to test it out (the smallest I have) is not recognised but the others seem OK. All the files play in VLC, so I don't know if it is a file problem or an Easy MC8 problem.
Easy MC8 takes ages to check the files. I can tell it is having problems trying to understand them because I can hear the computer scratching its head rapidly while flashing the disk access light.
