Hi all
Firstly - thanks to all who have helped me across the forums over the last few months. My cinema is now up and running.
Ok, now for some more questions!
I am running a Pioneer 2014i amp - and 868 dvd player - rigged up to a Screenplay 7205 PJ. I use the ilink from dvd to amp - and a HDMI from dvd to PJ. All works beautifuly. I also installed cabling from my AV rack to the PJ - to which I have connected component and composite plugs (4 in total at each end) - with a view to adding extra equipment later.
Now, I've just built a media PC - using an ATI card with DVI and SVideo out. The sound output is either via a 3.5mm jack - or a SPDIF socket. I will eventually add a TV tuner card and plan to output the recordings to the PJ.The PC will initially be used for MP3/photo playback -eventually outputting recorded TV programs/films - possibly hi-def movies.
So - what next?
I want to keep the HDMI for the DVD to PJ. What do I use for the PC to PJ? Component or composite? What convertors would I needs (I have DVI and Svideo outputs).
What about the PC sound? Should I use the 3.5mm jack - or the SPDIF?
Thanks all in advance
Si
