Most likely not. VGA is also a component RGB style signal, just like SCART is capable of, my guess is there wouldnt be any difference. Have you checked that the SCART input on the TV is RGB and not just S-video, and similar on the Sky+ box that its outputting RGB and no S-Video, as this can make a rather large difference.

Whats wrong with the picture quality?

Hi, the problem is i am getting what i can only say is like a water colour affect on faces !! noticed it really bad on east enders last night.. faces dont look real any more.
Sky box is outputting RGB on scart and its in the right scart input on the tv set !!

Water color effect? Could you post a photo? If you are sure you are correctly connected with SCART, then i think it would be a better to try to calibrate the color settings on the TV.

Do you have another TV you could connect the Box to? Then you might be able to decide whether its the TV or the Sky+ box or cable thats at fault.

In that case have you tried adjusting the settings on the TV? Otherwise try to use S-Video or component and see what happens it might be that the SCART input is damaged.

What kind of SCART leads are you using? If they are standard then I would certainly recommend buying a premium SCART such as QED P2210 or an Ixos SCART. You can get away with poor SCART leads on smaller CRT sets but big RPTVs are less forgiving. As mentioned above, have a look at your colour settings on the TV. I'm sure other folk on here have the same TV so maybe they could post their settings to compare?

Good Luck
