10m Component to component Cable
Anyone know where to purchase a reasonable quality cable at a reasonable price? It would run from DVD to Projector.
Thanks in advance.

Hi W. Hobbs. Depends what you mean by 'reasonable quality cable at a reasonable price'
A 10 meter run from a DVD to a projector would require a high quality component cable imho. Have a look at the forum sponsors or the 'search' for the best component cables

I'd recommend Mark Grant's component cables without hesitation. Excellent cable at a very reasonable price, which I think fits your bill

The VanDamme cables offer great value for money - though there are better cables on the market so its a case of matching your hardware with your budget and cable requirements.
With VanDamme you have three options - 3 x 75ohm RCA to RCA, 1 x Standard Multicore or 1 x Mini Multicore; lots of folk go with the Mini Multicore as its easier to work with than the Standard Multicore which is a bit of a hose pipe size wise.
What Source and Projector do you have and are you surface mounting or concealing the cable?
Best regards
Joe

There's a new company trading through ebay who specialise in component cables called TM3connections. I've just bought a 10m set from them for £70. I actually asked them specifically to give me a quote for a set 10.5m long which he then added to ebay as a buy-it-now item. They use the same belden cable and canare connectors that are raved about on these forums.
I got them today and am very pleased with the difference.

Hello bob corb
I have to say I'm always amazed that folk are so keen to go past the folk that support (and educate) the AVForums

I got my VanDamme cables in 1999 before I think there was anybody on the forums pushing cables - I'd certainly done a lot of search on avf and if there had been anybody I probably would have used them. i got 3 individual cables with gold connectors. I also got a couple of small 1-2m runs for the interconnects from the dvd player to amp and xbox to amp

Sorry if I offended anyone with my posting.
I always hunt around the the best price for any premium grade purchase I make, my component video cable is no exception. I also like to support the little guys and the high street shops rather than the multi nationals.
Best regards and happy new year to you all (a little early!)
Bob

hello bob corb
I'm not sure how tall Mark is but he's definitely one of the 'little guys' compared to the big Brand names
Best regards

I've just had a look at Mark Grant's site, is there any reason why he uses Belden and not Canare cable?
