Help needed to connect TV to DVDR, Freeview & XBOX 360

Hi

Basically im trying to connect to my tv as follows

Tv 2 scarts
Freeview box 2 scarts
DVD Recorder 2 scarts
Xbox 360 1 scart.

I have a 2 scart box but where should I put it in the chain? I have tried it in the second tv scart and then connected the dvd-r and xbox to it. The dvdr works great but the xbox picture is no good when the dvdr is on standby. The 2 way scart I have is a cheapo one. Do i need a better one?

Got it working now though the quality of freeview has dropped. Think a new scart multibox is on my shopping list
