AVR-1906 and RGB-DVD

I have an AVR-1906 and a Pioneer 535 DVD and am trying to get the OSD to work through component input/output. If I connect composite out from the dvd to the receiver the OSD works, but not if I enable RGB out on the DVD and do dvd->scart->rgb->receiver->rgb->scart->tv. When I do this I get a picture that looks like the video (if you have some imagination) that moves vertical and horizontally on the screen. Any ideas? The receiver seems to use YCb/PbCr/Pr, is it even possible to input RGB to those?

if i understand you correctly you are trying to use RGB through component?

if so NO you cannot use RGB over component , RGB is scart only IIRC.

YCb/PbCr/Pr is for component
you should be selecting either Y/C or progressive if your display supports it , if not Y/C
