Mission MS6-AS

Hi,

Looking to upgrade, laterally, my aging (about 10 years!) Yamaha YST-60w sub.

I have a 77C1 centre, 702e's fronts and some M7DS rears, in a room that is 14ft by 8ft. Is the Mission MS6-AS much of an upgrade ?

Its on at the hifi store for £89.....http://www.hifistore.co.uk/product.p...150&qsProd=MS6

i had an mission ms8, i originally paid £180 for it, and it served me well for a couple of years.
i found it much better with movies than with music

also its only £10 more than the ms6

A sub that cheap probably isn't going to be worth it, i have a mission V6as, extremly good sub, looks nice and has both slam and speed but its out of your buget. Look at the BK gemini, its probably the cheapest proper sub you can buy exept second hand and don't worry about speaker matching as subs are independent from that marlarky.

I can't say for certain 100%, but if its anything like the cheapo yamaha sub i had with a speaker set then i'd say so. People who have it say its also very musical, where the yamaha i had in the past was movies only.
