This works on the DVXS30 so it might be worth a try on yours

With no disc in the machine and the machine turned on (DVD selected)

Using the remote control: key in 9 9 9 9 0 then press play.

But '99990 play' will not work on a DVX-S120.
Try going back to your Yamaha dealer - that's what they're there for...
