Sharky's Machine

I notice that Sharky's Machine is available on DVD (R1) but only in a pan and scan version.

I can find no details on the correct aspect ratio of this movie, but would hazard a guess of 1:85:1, judging by the minimal framing loss on my old VHS version.

Is this available anywhere else in the world in it's correct ratio?

I like this movie a lot, enjoying the late 70's early 80's minimalist approach before the likes of "Lethal Weapon". Excellent hi-falls by Dar Robinson. Insane performance by Henry Silva

Plot "borrowed" from 50's classic "Laura" me thinks.

Not at the moment.
Wasn't it part of a range of budget discs released by Warners or someone in the US? I seem to recall there's a bunch of stuff like Nighthawks, The Man With Two Brains, all fullscreen and movie-only on cheap-as-chips discs. Shame. I'd like to see a decent release of Sharkey's as it's one of Burt's better flicks.
