Recording Hi-MD (Sonicstage) problems
Hi,
I've just purchased a Sony Hi-MD for my girlfriends father, as he - like us- is a fan of listening to audiobooks while driving. My idea was to record the audiobooks we have onto one Hi-MD.
I've got the whole lot of files transfered to harddisk as mp3's, but when I now try to record them, I get an error message afterward saying that the files couldn't be converted, with some possible reasons (one of which being copyright?). What's the problem? IS it the copyright or so? If i simply burn the mp3's to an audio or mp3 cd, there's no problem, so I assume this is Sony software being a b*tch? Are there any alternative programs or methods to try? I was hoping to fix some discs to him for christmas, but right now I'm regretting ever buying it as it's breaking my head and annoying me to the bones!
If you can't record mp3's cause the source is copyrighted (even if it's standing in your own audioshelf), what the heck is the purpose with these Hi-MD's? If the only possibility is to record a cd in a normal way, I could simply have gotten a cd-player?
