Sky or Sky+

I am currently using the Sky Panasonic box, and was interested to know if the Sky+ box gives better quality pictures over the Sky panny, bearing in mind my TV listed below.

Or would I be better waiting for Sky HD.

cheers

Everything else being equal there is little difference in the PQ of SKY hardware, you will however get better quality recordings from SKY+ compared to using your digibox with a VHS or DVDR.

SKY+ HD will be expensive but no question that the HD channels will look far better on your TV than the SD channels currently do or ever hope to do.

Personally if it was a choice between staying with Sky or getting Sky+, I would say go for Sky+ and reap the benefit from all of Sky+ functions. Picture quality will be the same because it only outputs in either RGB or Composite the same as Sky.

Of course the new HD Sky+ box will be even better but then it will come at a price initially plus I would imagine a hike in subscription fees so only you can make the decision there.

However, I would strongly recommend upgrading to a Sky+ box of one type or another.
