Samsung HDTV & Freeview
Got me Sammy yesterday, looks fantastic with the 360 running in HD.
DVD running through RGB looks great.
Freeview?Well I can only describe it as crap..I know a lot depends on signal strength and quality. Both are quite strong, but no matter what settings I change its like an overexposed picture. For example ,watching Eastenders (just for experiment , you understand) and theres a shot in the pub with a window..the window is blazingly bright with no detail whatsoever,.Its the same on all channels, whites seem totally blown out.
Now ,Im sure Ive read on these forums that the Samsungs are not that good with an analogue signal, and, with the amount of TV I watch its not much of an issue but obviously if I could improve it then it would be good.
Does the freeview box play a big part in picture quality? It is a Thompson jobbie (topup TV one)
