I have the 27" version, its a lovely telly and a steal for £549.

Be aware you'll probably need to source a different power lead as it comes with a 2 pin Euro plug. Or cut the lead and attach a UK plug to it.

thanks I paid £749 I think thatwas pretty good! Some one posted on a xbox site that it wasn't suitable cos it didn't have digital input! but I downloaded the samsung user guide(that covered all the LE**T51 range) and it had component and dvi input so thats ok isn't it?

their talking rubbish fella, the only other issue to be honest is the lack of HDMI but it has DVI which has HDCP, so you just need to buy a HDMI to DVI converter, £10. So its a non issue.

Why would you need digital input though? It has Component which is what I'm going to use for the 360 and I have my PC connected via VGA, the only thing I can think off is the fact you cant connect the PC via DVI? That could be what he's on about?

I have posted a review but basically

Sky via looks ok not brilliant but not as bad as I expected
RF is as expected average at best

PC is stunning Hl2 Lost coast looks running on it. DVD's on the PC look amazing as well.

Gamecube via Component is also as I have a few US games I'm running in prog scan 480p and if they dont look totally amazing.

I'm more excited about xmas this year than my son and its his 360 Cant wait to get it set up on xmas day

I've ordered the 23" version, stock levels don't seem too good so no idea when I'll actually get it.

www.komplett.co.uk

Not the lowest price around but I checked some other retailers who said there was no chance of getting it before Christmas whereas komplett site said some were expected on the 15th.

No sign of my order status being updated yet.

Hope you get it up and running before Xmas.
So can I confirm that this model does have a DVI socket which is HDPC enabled, meaning I will only have to buy a Hdmi to Dvi lead to receive Hi Def sources.
Would also appreciate any feedback when you get to test out your new set

Yes it does have DVI with HDCP - I wouldn't have bought it otherwise.

Komplett has now changed to

Not in stock. 12 pcs expected on stock 2005-12-28
I've heard nothing so I guess I'm pushed bacl to that, will have to call them to confirm.

Hmmm, seems this set is proving somewhat elusive.
Argos are showing a 21 day wait and BE Direct hope to have some in "shortly".
I checked out my local Currys and Comet stores and neither had any idea about this set
Just when you think you've found the ideal item it seems the Gods conspire against you.Oh well.

I don't think it's the same one on Argos. This is the one I'm referring to:

http://www.komplett.co.uk/k/ki.asp?sku=314485&cks=PRL

Doubt the large chains would have it as it's a grey import I believe intended for France/Germany hence it not being on the UK Samsung site.
