Is this another Bug on Sky Plus

Twice this week I have had two programmes fail to record, both were set up using serial link, but both came to an end this week and that is the I think the common factor, whereas all my other programmes have recorded OK.

Would be interested in other peoples views, btw those who tape Peep Show it is the last one this week so I wonder if this will happen on yours if you have used the series link, I have deleted mine and set Peep Show up again for Friday just in case.

Yeah I am getting allot of problems at the moment especially recording the Bill on ITV1 Wednesday nights then series link for the Thursday as well. Also the recording has just failed again tonight with a 2 part series on ITV1 I try ed to manual record it but it would not start so I had to re-boot the b***** thing

This seems to be a regular occurrence with My sky+

I have had failed recordings using series links too, but usually it is because I have tried to record three channels at the same time. If you have series links set up they don't check for recording clashes on the future episodes, so while they may work most of the time if one of your programs moves its timeslot for some reason (due to football coverage etc) then you can quite easily end up trying to record three channels at the same time which obviously fails.

If you have a failed recording on your sky planner, press the information button and it will tell you why the recording failed. I have had several lately as well as the problems with live pause as per previous threads. I spoke to tech. dept. on 12th, and they tell me that the next upgrade download should be able to cure all the currently inherent problem from around the middle of Jan 06. They also told me that they are doing beta copies to sky staff to eradicate this problem.
Final point, some p***k from customer services phoned last night to offer me movie channles for 75p and he was not even aware that Sky+ had problem. Needless to say I was not impressed and should have told him where to put his Oscar!
