advice re a microsystem to work with a turntable

I was thinking of getting a micro CD system - nothing fancy though (around £100-150) that can play cassettes, MP3 CDs and DAB.

The problem is, and this is why I am posting, is that I need one into which I can plug a turntable so that my wife can play her LP collection. Any suggestions?

I know that if I went for a midi system, I can get one with a built in turn table, but I was hoping for something a little more discrete.

I know that I could get a prog like LP ripper and record all the vinyl onto CD - but that would take an absolute age, and whilst I am prob going to do that anyway, I would like to be able to play then now, too.

Any ideas - thanks in advance!

it depends on the record player you get , some of them out put to "line out" level so you can connect it to any aux in put on a hifi. or you can get a phono box which you connect the record deck to and inturn this connects to the aux in on the hifi.
i think its extremly rare to get a micro/mini system that has "phono" input for a record player.

Sony do a turntable with built in pre-amp that will allow you to connect it to a line-level (or auxiliary) input. I think I saw one recently on www.emipredirect.co.uk for around £90.
