Connecting XBox to PC

My XBOX has 3 of this connectors which aren't RGB, i think it's called RCA? Im wonder if there is a converter to RGB so i can connect it to my computer's SVideo port?

THanks!

I think you are a little confused about your interfaces. You cannot connect RGB to s-video. You may be better off asking in the xbox forum

Hey and welcome to the AVForums,

Ok ... your description is a little vague but, I guess you want to feed your xbox video out into the back of your computers S-Video IN?

If this is the case, im fairly sure you can do this but the only way I could do it, off the top of my head, is not pretty

Go back to the original xbox scart cable you got with the Xbox - this is a scart socket on the "output" side not the rca(?). Now get one of the crappy little scart switchers from Argos and whilst you are there, pick up a scart to S-Video adapter. Now plug these together with a normal s-video cable into the back of your computer video IN socket .... hey presto

Picture quality is not all that as its a mess of connections and there probably is another way of doing it, I just don't know it

It would be better if you told us what you are trying to achieve then we could answer you. So... Capture your Xbox High Score? Play Xbox on your PC monitor? What?

Haha! Sorry for being so vague. I was in a rush!

All i basically want to do it be able to play my XBox on my TFT screen.

This is the end of my XBox cable which connects to the tv (there is a Scart connector you can attach to it, but it makes the quality bad.

And my video card has the following lead..

The colours are RGB and the colour on the ends of the Xbox lead is Red Yellow and White

Not sure what you have there but I believe they are output cables, not input.

You have a couple of choices, get an adapter box like this, not sure where you are but they sell them in Europe too; This means the PC can be switched off

Or I use a sweetspot card with an Xbox component cable, this allows me to use Dscaler and other programs for picture improvement, works great!

They look more like component cables going to s-vid. If that is the case buy an xbox component lead off ebay like this

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Gold-XBox-Comp...QQcmdZViewItem

remembering that you won't get sound through s-vid though.

The pic he posted of the component leads is an output only from his graphics card. Should be able to plug s-video into it though, there's an official advanced AV pack from Microsoft that will give a true S-video signal - would be the best option without spending too much.

You need an X2VGA+ HiDef adaptor from Neoya http://www.x2vga.com/ Then softmod the Xbox & set it to NTSC mode then enable all HiDef resolutions 720p & 1080i
