Phillips 37PF5520D component connection.
Hi, i'm new to this forum and could do with some help
I've just bought a Phillips 37PF5520D 37" LCD tv, I am having a few problems connecting my equipment to it properly.
I have a Yamaha RX-V357 AV amplifier which has 2 component inputs and one component output.
I would like to connect my Media Centre PC and my gamecube to the TV using the amp (so i dont have to continually switch inputs on the tv). The PC uses a VGA connector and when i connect to the tv's DVI input (using the supplied adaptor, it works perfectly in 1360 x 768 mode. If i connect the pc using the supplied vga - component cable (then a component cable to DVI), the tv displays 'no signal' on both the pc input and HD input. So obviously it's the same when i connect through the amp.
If someone could point out what i'm doing wrong, that would be much appreciated.
Basically, to sum up. How do i connect a gamecube (with digital cable) to the TV using a component connection. Do i have to use the RGB scart socket? Will that be able to display the pc input at it's native resolution? what will that look like?
Thanks in advance.
