Please, who watches TV on a 17" LCD?
The whole point of full HD panels for TV use is as the standard HD (1366x768) is stretched to fit 37"+, and UK homes (Europe in general for that matter) have limited sized rooms, then the closer you sit to one the more pixelation you can readily see.
Add more pixels into the mix, and you can sit the same distance away, or even closer, and the pixelation problem is gone.
Since most homes have the requisite distance from a 32", the manufacturers are concentrating on 37"+ for full HD panels.
This is likely to result in pushing the cost of 26's & 32's panels down, and the 37"+ at the £1500-2000 admission point.
Don't envisage them doing two different 37's side by side, the previous model will be replaced by the new improved version. Some might start at 40/42, or bigger, if they feel the 37 is fine as is and selling well, esp. if the price is dropped along with the 32's.
But 37 seems to be the cut-off point.
