Its not hard just costs £'s
You can use a service remote that you can hire for a fee.
See http://www.multi-region.co.uk/index....acturers_id=28
Never used them just the first one I came to in a search and thought it would make an example of what I was on about!

Theres plenty of old threads here regarding sony models, just use the "search" option for sony. You cannot hack it via its own remote, but if you have a PDA, a OFA, or Laptop you can use the codesposted on other threads on this forum.

Failing that, a google search or the forums banner below will point you in the direction of a "chipped remote" supplier for a small fee, even many sony centres and sony dealers now offer such a service.

You can do Sony players , I did a friend of mine's with a One-For-All 6 remote.I can't quite remember which model they have, also where I got the code from was slightly wrong(as in there wasn't enough zero's in front of it), but it does work.
