Replacement DVB Software?

I picked up a PCI Nova-t for £39.99 the other day just to have a play with. The software seems rather clunky to me just wondered if there are any free alternatives out there ?

I've just installed Media Portal V2.0 RC1. I intend using this as a media centre extender. So far so good but the last time I looked at this I couldn't get my head round the program guide. As an extender though, this isn't important in this case

I use meedio with my nebula card, have a look at www.meedio.com and see if it works with your card.
