MCE 2005+Playing DVD+Divx problems

Hi to everyone,
I just installed MCE on my machine and although everything went ok,
music, pictures etc...all working perfectly, I have troubles playing DVDs
and Divx files.When I try to open them I get a black screen (sometimes with
sound), or a flashing screen,or just the menu giving me the option to
restart the movie.No picture though, not even a scrabbled one.Since I am new
to MCE is this a video card issue?Do I need specific drivers?Is this a codec
issue?Is there a specific player that MCE uses??Can I add Divx Player,or VLC
as players? Anyway I am stuck so any help will be appreciated.
My specs are

Abit KW7
Athlon Tbird 1.4
512DDRAM
40G HD
Abit Siluro Geforce 3 Ti200
Creative Live 5.1

You need to install an MCE compatible DVD codec and a divx codec.
I recommend Nvidia Purevideo DVD codec, and ffdshow,
However I don't think your graphics card is supported, but try it using the nvidia MCE drivers.

Your graphics card is woefully underpowered. You need a minimum of an Nvidia FX5200 or ATI Radeon 9200 to run MCE 2005.

So off to the shop for a new video card.Will I be allright though with one of those that you have recommended or do I need somethig more??
