Does it appear in Device manager on PC, if it shows a question mark or exclamation mark Wndows may not have installed drivers.

try this - Highlight the phone in device manager, right click and choose update drivers, then browse to the CD containing the drivers that came with the phone. If you don't have this try downloading the drivers from the Sony website

Had the same problem. It's your firewall/anti virus blocking it. Uninstall everything (ie the PC Suite, drivers, firewall, anti virus), restart and reinstall.

Obviously, reinstall the Suite before the Firewall.

When i select "Properties" i have COM 1 & 2 plus USB3, but the status shows Not connected
