Nokia 6680 on three. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

My problem is that when im in my home, i have very bad 3G signal.
But in 2.5G mode my phone has excellent signal.

The phone switches from 3G mode to 2.5G mode all day long when im in my home.

This means that 50% of the time when someone tries to phone me, and i have no 3G signal people cant get in touch with me.

I also try to call someone and the phone hangs up once, twice, maybe three times before it actually starts ringing. Takes 30-60secs to call someone!!!

And then if i am lucky enough to speak to someone in 3G mode all of a sudden after a minute or 2 the call gets cut off, cause the phone switches to 2.5G mode.

ITS JUST SO FUSTRATING and doesnt help that three's customer service are actually useless telling me to make sure i have Three UK selected in connections options.

Is there any way of forcing my phone to stay in 2.5G mode cause i do not use any of the 3G services. Also by doing this does it breach any of three's terms and conditions?

I know its a cheap service for what im getting but i still expect a reasonably good service, not alot of **** what im getting at the moment.

Anyone i can contact at three that speaks english and can help me?

Cheers

wrap a bit of baking foil around it when at home
that should lose the 3g signal.

the problem is with o2.
they wont allow the handover of a 3g signal to a 2.5
even thou they can do it.
3 and o2 are in legal rangle over it.

shame there aint a way to have it running on just 2.5g!

I'm on vodafone and when I first got my 6680 I had this problem, very annoying!

However you can change the settings in the phone go to:

Menu/tools/settings/network then under network mode change it from dual mode to GSM and you'll be fine.
