Toshiba Service Codes

Dear all,

I have recently purchased a Toshiba 36ZP48 and I am very happy with it. There is one strange problem I have...

When viewing Region 2 PAL DVD's in 2.35-1 aspect ratio I notice that the borders on the picture come in too far. I know this since I have the same film in US Region 1 NTSC and the borders on this when played don't come in as far and the picture looks correct.

I can only adjust the horizontal picture settings on the TV menu and was wondering if anyone could tell me how to get into the service mode of that particular TOSHIBA TV so that I can have a play about and see if I can set it right.

Help would be greatly appreciated.

ok mate, press mute on the remote control while the tele is switched on, let go of the mute button press it again and hold it down and at the same time press the MENU button the on tele itself u shud now be in the service menu ( IF YOU GOING TO CHANGE SOMMAT ALWAYS WRITE DOWN THE OLD VALUE INCASE YOU MESS IT UP TRUST ME YOU'LL BE SORRY )

Use something like the DVE disk and just to reinforce the message, always write down the original settings
