Either the MAudio Audiophile 2496 (no analogue multi-channel output) or the new Hurcules Gamer card (with 6.1 output now) would be suitable to replace your SB 5.1. They are both around the £150-200 mark.

Has anyone got any links to cheap suppliers of the M Audio Audiophile 2496?

UK or anywhere in Europe.

I want one, just got to find a cheap supplier now.

The best place to find suppliers of the 2496 card is in Sound On Sound magasine. There are loads of adverts that have it in. I think they have a website (who doesn't?), dunno the address though.

Here it is: http://www.sospubs.co.uk/

Thanks for the reply Richard.
How does the M Audio compare to the Terratec, as it can be purchased for £20 less.

Jeff (builder of Kryton) has one of these but has often mentioned that he has problems with Ravisent based dvd software. The M-Audio is by far the most often used on http://www.avsforum.com and that means that they will have already come accross (and probably solved) any problems that you may have.

Good luck

Good point Alex,
I read a review on the two cards http://www.sospubs.co.uk/sos/apr01/articles/soundcard.asp
and it seems that the M-Audio would be the most suitable.
