Samsung TV choice - advice please
Do I go for the Samsung LE26R41BDX or the Samsung 27" LE27T51BX LCD TV
. Looking to buy a TV tomorrow or, at the latest, monday but this recent discovery of the bigger 51 model for a cheaper price has sent me into confusion. Any recomendations on which one to get, i'll be using it almost purely for Xbox 360

here's my opinion of the LE27T51B
Ok as promised review of my new LCD HD telly : SAMSUNG LE27T51B £549 from play.com ordered Monday, delivered Wednesday
OK first issue if your getting this TV, be aware as its a model for the Mainland Europe/France market you'll need to have a Monitor or kettle lead spare as it doesnt come with a UK plug. Thanks to a mate this was sorted.
lets get the basics out of the way first, simple to set up, nice design and looks rather nice in the living room. Not had a chance to test a 360 yet, will update review when I get the chance. checked the firmaware as I was concerned about the tearing issue the Sammy can have and its the latest firmware Nov 1
PC via D-sub VGA, stunning quality only issue is slight ghosting effect on a few character, but its not that noticeable and only effects a bit of text, problem isnt apparent when playing DVD or any media files. Discovered my PC isnt up to playing .ts files, so it looks like I need to upgrade my processor or just wait for the 360 and use MCE.HD trailers though played in 720p fine and the quality is of another world, the X3 trailer looked Stunning
HL2 looked jawdroppingly good and I think I may be playing through it again the next few nights. Didnt try mame or any emulators but am looking forward to it.
GC via RGB - RE4 looked fantastic as did Metroid Prime, just waiting on my Component leads before I really see what it can do.
Sky via RGB, well it looked no worse than my CRT and I cant see what all the fuss is about, a very decent Sky image and the same for RF not too bad at all. Looks even better when you use the PIP function as I discovered last night as I surfed the forum and my son watched The simpsons on Sky
Xbox via RGB, defo not the best but without Component leads its what I expected about the same as on my CRT.
All in all, my mate and myself both agreed that for £550 your getting a bloody decent LCD and it doesnt reflect the cheap pricing.

Sounds promising, but how does it do compared with the 26" 41 model?

Identical screen technlogy
Slightly inferior speaker system + Speakers on the side
DVI-HDCP instead of HDMI (a £10 adaptor will solve this if u have HDMI equipment)
All black, with no silver.
An extra inch

I'm planning on buying a seperate surround system anyway, so if I buy an HDMI adapter then it's an identical screen except its an inch bigger and looks sexier?

Pretty much hit the nail on the head there. But taste is subjective, but I think the all black is nicer.
