What's this connection for

Hi,

What's the circled connection for on the back of my TV.
It looks like a digital audio connection similar to ones found in a pc, is that right?

What can I connect it to?

thanks

Tha could be for a number of purposes (incuding external power for something).

Please post your TV make and model number.

The TV is a Philips 28PW6520, there's no mention of the connection in the manual.

thanks

It's a connector for an engineer to connect a piece of equipment for software diagnosis...that's why there is no mention in the user manual.

have not seen this model but most connectors like this on philips tv's are for THE RADIO AERIAL if it has one.The socket for the engineer(COMPAIR SOFTWARE UPDATES) is usually only accessible with the back removed.

on page 2 of the manual

On page 2 of the manual, there is a little diagram which clearly shows that thie socket is for connection of an FM radio aerial (using the supplied adaptor). However I was not supplied the adaptor - or the delivery men took it away when the removed the packaging. Anyone any ideas about how to make the connection without the "supplied adaptor".
