Connecting Computer and Denon-500SD

Okay first off, I dont know if this is the right formu but here goes.
I have a computer and the Denon-500SD home theater system. I want to get the sound from the computer out on my Denon500SD. I connect the soundcard to the video 2 input on the back, red to red and so on. Then I chose Video 2 and start plying mucis on the computer and nothing happens.. I have triede connecting the computer the same why to my sisters stero system, whice have an AUX entrence, this works just fine.. Any one got a clue about what the problem could be?
