Sony TV KD32DX51 / KD32DC11 Which should I Buy?

Hi,

I'm thinking of buying a Sony TV KD32DX51 which looks excellent for the price, approx. £600 the specs are at this page:

However it is no longer available to buy direct from the Sony web site, is this because it had been superceded perhaps by the KD32DC11?

In fact looking at the specs I can't see any difference between the KD32DX51 and the KD32DC11, can anyone enlighten me? (They're both around £600).

Which is better, anyone know? Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

PS. In case anyone suggests another make --it's a no go-- my last Sony Triniton TV was bought in 1993 and has served me well for 12 years!

The KD32DX51 is better, ive got the 28" version. Very happy with it.
Both have the 7 day freeview EPG which is very easy to use and if you connect to a Video/DVD recorder you can set programmes to automatically be recorded just by highlighting a programme on the EPG. Cant change the freeview channel while recording in progress but can switch to analouge. With smart-link you can have the TV off and it will still record a timer event and start your DVD recorder.
One difference is the DX51 has virtual surround sound, it also looks better.

Have you seen the KD32DX51 at £600'ish, I'm getting prices around the £750 mark, if so could you post or pm the details of the reseller.

I'm just moving into 1st house so have been studying the av market for a few months, all of my kit at home is Sony so I've not been tempted to look at anything else. The KD32DX51 is at the top of the list for the tv, not ready to move into the LDC market. It looks an awesome box specially because its black finish.

Did the price quoted include the stand as well?
