Availability of MPEG4 HD sat boxes (not Sky)

Forgetting Sky, does anyone have an update on the availability of the new MPEG4 HD sat boxes. Last suspects were:

Pace 850
Philips DSR9005
Humax 1000

The UK retailers are clueless, and German and Swiss sources seem to be backtracking, talking about early next year, rather than December 05 (as they were previously)

TIA

All the Pace ones are being shipped straight to the operators.
Quite likely to be the same for the Philips.

No more HDTV box's on general sale from these manufacturers untill:

Philips: january 2006?

Humax: Febuary 2006?

Pace: March 2006

I have one of the very few Humax's that were released and availible on the german/austrian/swiss market, only problem is it wont output copyright/coded protected sources over the Component output.

Not that you'll be using component mind but one thing to bear in mind.

Loosely babble translated:Update: Against the original statement of Humax the PR-HD1000 has nevertheless an YUV exit. However can over this only free HDTV programs in HDTV will show, which is not spent due to copyright defaults only coded via HDMI. Copy-protected programs can be regarded over the equipment only in down-scaled Pa run solution over YUV.

2 questions:

1. How did you manage to get it?
2. What do you think of it? Are you using with a motorised dish?

OK - it was 3 questions...

1. How did you manage to get it? sorry cant reveal any specific details, all i can say is that brother-in-law's who work for high profile german aerospace companys are cool?.

2. What do you think of it? it's a cracking machine as with all humax's they are very good qaulity this model in paticular looks the part too, picture wise blows the socks off the Qauli tv QS1080IRCI that i bought 3 months ago connection wise it's all there inc HDMI.

3. Are you using with a motorised dish? Yes fully motorised Hirschmann Fesat 850A, 12 inch Hirschmann silent jackarm, invacom 0.3 dual LNB coupled to a Pace MSP 200IR Positioner (45 East-45 West).

PS: Reelbox Lite V3 ordered today as it's become availible in german shops today Yeeeeehhhaaaaaa.

Bit of a funny one this? first off this is'nt news take a look closer at the other postings- the pace DS810 will be quali TV's choice this has been confirmed in earlier threads.

Second why would "Quali TV" supply a FTA box when there programming is coded in Irdeto 2, and plus the fact quali TV will be sourceing Pace DS810's for there market, the other variant now in situ with german households known as the DS810KP.

Your Wrong Two Quali-TV Mpeg 4 Boxes will be available before Q2 2006 one will be a FTA box and other with an Irdeto 2 and CA.

These boxes will be produced by Zinwell. There is also a chance that they could us another manufactory but this has not been confirmed.

The FTA could be this one ZDX-640HD
http://www.zintech.com.tw/product/STB/HDTV.htm

I asked if Mpeg 2 4:2:2 will work but there not able to confirm this at present.

Euro1080 are testing a Pace Mpeg4 box and another manufactory can’t remember there name.

Personally i would wait for the official press release they say in jan 2006 before stating anybody is wrong, i stick with my comments before.

One of the reasons i just sold my QS1080IRCI there lack of answering e-mails and support, dont need there box's no more reelbox Lite V3 250GB on it's way plus the humax.
