32ZP48 advice needed Xbox 360..?

I have this set and am playing xbox 360 games through component at 480p.Kameo looks horrible!!

Can anyone recommend setting for gaming? Would 100hz mode or active mode be better? I cant select those modes if the console is set to 480p,so i would lose the progressive image.

What about other settings? Like brightness,colour etc?

Currently i have it calibrated with a dvd calibration disk.My settings are something like this (am at work so maybe not 100% accurate)

Brightness - 60
Colour - 40
Tint - 0
Sharpness - -20
Blackstretch - OFF
DNR - AUTO

I tried asking in the 360 forum but got no replys.My chances of anyone else having this particular set and the 360 console is slim it seems

Looking at your set up, it might well be that your settings are making your games look too washed out and lacking detail. To increase resolution, you should maybe try reducing the Brightness to around 42, setting your Contrast to about 60, and setting your Sharpness to 0. Together, these should make the blacks a bit blacker (meaning that your picture looks a bit more three dimensional), and should stop the 'soft focus' effect of your current sharpness settings. you should also play your games on 'progressive' mode, which adds even greater detail.

i've got a 32zp38 and these settings work brilliantly for my PS2, so they should look even better for the 360!

hope that helps!

I think the only way would be to select one of the picture modes, 1, 2 or 3 (3 is recommended), set the picture for the "gaming" mode, and that will be saved as picture mode M. You would have to use mode 1, 2 or 3 without adjusting them for DVD, or TV should you see fit. If you adjust them, the settings will be saved over your "Gaming" settings and stored in mode M.

Personally, i have a 36ZP38, with PS2 & Gamecube, and i set my TV up using picture mode 3, then adjust the settings as follows:

Contrast = 57
Brightness = 45
Colour = 45
Tint = 0
Sharpness = -10
Scan mode = Natural
DNR = Off
Black Stretch = Off
Colour Temp = Normal

They seem ok for me, feel free to try them out!
