Good 26-32" HDTV with Freeview

Ok, I've been looking around here for a while and I can't really make my mind up about what to do, so I thought I'd ask and see if I could get some help.

I'm looking at replacing my 28" widescreen CRT with a HDTV of similar (or slightly larger) size. My room is annoyingly shaped so that the TV would most likely be shoved in an alcove so would probably sit on a stand, if its possible to wall mount on something that swings out or something, that would be cool but I'm not sure if such a thing exists.
I would like the TV to have FreeView built in to save me extra boxes. Other inputs would be from an Xbox360 and possibly another console, and a new DVD player (also need advice, but not as urgent!)

Some sort of audio output so I can plug it into my Amp is essential, as since I'd be using these speakers, the speakers on the TV (if any) won't be used, so quality of them isn't really an issue.

I think I'm right in assuming that I'd be looking for an LCD panel and Plasma's don't really venture too far into this area of the market (sub 37" panels).

I would estimate normal viewing distance at being between 6'-12' away, but with some viewing at greater distances, although clarity at that point is not essential (shouldn't really watch TV at the dinner table anyway!)

I currently have my entire setup running through RGB SCART cables so having that as an additional input would be useful during the transition phase.

Obviously I would like to keep the cost as low as possible but I am happy to pay a little more for better picture quality, but would prefer to keep the cost under £700.

I think that's about everything. A tall order, I know, but I thought if I put down all my thoughts, then I'm more likely to get better advice.

I have looked at the cheap screens like the V7 and the Samsung's but I have also read many things about tearing, which does worry me a little.

I have the Samsung LE-26R41BDX which is just superb. It has built in Freeview, HD Ready.
I can't pick up any free channels but I thinks that's more to do with the crummy antenna that I have than anything else.

And it cost £625...
