yamaha av57

hi got ourselves the yamaha av57 home cinama receiver package & was wondering what the best way of connecting it to my tv / dvd ( recorder )

tv - panasonic tx-28dtx10 (crt )

dvd - dmr-eh50

in the yamaha instructions it says that you can connect the tv & dvd using 'component video' leads.
the tv does not have these.
the dvd has 'component' leads but the panasonic instructions says that these go only to the tv (if it has them)

thanks

u will need to connect it to the dvd recorder outputs then.
does the dvd recorder have a digital coax or optical out?

if not try using the composite audio out and connect it to the av57.

but mind you, i dont have the system, so only guessing.

to use component your tv needs this connection.
the amp can be used to connect 2 component connections if your tv only has 1
