DVB-T aspect ratios

Since installing my dual NOVA-T cards my extender has the black bars on the bottom constanlty so its 4:3 on everything now which is annoying because I have no zoom option on the extender.
Anyway my PC when I 1st setup the nova T was wide screen for majority of channels on zoom 1 when previoulsy on my PVR is was setting 3 that was the more common option.
Now my MCE has reverted back to the PVR settings of setting 3 for the more common and the extender is just the same.
Any nova t users on here with extenders that have this problem I have a feeling it could be driver related as I am running the latest drivers.
tried all codecs still 4:3.

Is this a gen1 extender? If so, it doesn't support 16:9 properly and I could not solve the problem of all Freview shows being letterboxed. Mine went back. XBox 360 works fine.

Yes it is a gen 1 XBOX extender.
I never had this problem with my PVR setup no black bars at all which indicates to me that it does support 16:9. It must be driver related for the freeview card or applicable to all DVBT cards ?
Anyone with another brand of DVB-T card have no black bars on their setup ?
