HELP !!! Question on Pioneer all in one

Eyup to all...

Almost finally decided or agreed on (me and the fiance'...lol) an all in one setup for the new tv / xbox360 at home...

Pioneer DCS340

Shown here....

http://www.avland.co.uk/pioneer/dcs340/dcs340.htm

not gonna buy it from here, but found some good spec info on it.

Question is following a post someone else made about having the two TALLBOY speakers at the rear....

This is what I wanna do, and looking at the power of the speakers, all five are 100 WATTS (6 ohms).

Apparently it shoiuld be OK if I swap them around.....obviously will be decreasing the volume on the rears...

Will it be OK ? Will it sound the same ???

Also does anyone have one of these ? Because I need to know what the cable inputs are (if any) so i can extend the shorter cables...

Any help would be massively appreciated from maybe someone who has one of these.

Also how should I best extend the cable ?

thanks in advance

Bob

Not quite sure what you mean by best extending the cables, but I have the DCS240 and the supplied cables were not long enough for my room, so I extended them with high quality speaker wire....
One problem I had (have) is that the Pioneer sends a signal to the TV even if it is not in dvd mode, so unless you use a switch box you will get a blue screen if you have your satellite connected to the pioneers speakers. There are a couple of posts started by me on this topic in the forum here. If I had known this before I bought it, I would not have gotten it. Good luck!

If you want a pic of the inputs, follow this link

good luck!

thanks....

Hiya,

What I mean is how to extend the cables physically...

It sounds as though there are no "pioneer specific" connectors on the speaker wire..

I didn't think there would be....

So if it's just bare wire which clip into the backs of the speakers and amp (sorry not too exp. with this).

Please can you confirm that is the case.

And regarding this problem you have.......that's not too good is it ?

Bob
