faulty video controller in Philips 28pw9527

Hi there,

Just posting to see if anyone has come across this issue before and if so how they dealt with it (and how much it cost to repair)

Symptomps of the problem:
When the screen goes dark, | can see green horizontal lines across the screen from top to bottom. These lines are only visible when the screen goes dark during a night scene in Lost for example.

Checking the service menu of the telly it says that there's a defective video controller; error 012.

i called philips who said I need to send it in for repair, now since the thing is out of warranty I'll need to pay for this repair and would be grateful if anyone could give any insight into this issue.

Cheers
