Marantz DV 9600 hack wanted

Hi everyone - I have a Marantz DV 9600 and would love to know if there is a multiregion hack available for this player. Many thanks in advance.

Can't help with the multi-region hack but wanted to know if you'd tried outputting interlaced HDMI and what output formats it supported and what colourspace options it had.

What's your display and how to you rate the player ?

Cheers, Lee

I have a Pioneer 436 XDE Plasma and currently I have both component and HDMI connections. I'm still playing with 720p and 1180i using HDMI - I think I'm veering towards the latter. It is not an easy decisision because, especially with poorly mastered material, digitial afterfacts / noise (digital snow?!) can be visible on the HDMI inputs from time to time.

It has various colour options including 4:2:2 which is the best (unless someone can tell me it isn't).

I think the picture quality is exceptionally good but I have to compare it with - my last DVD player was an entry level Sony.
