AEGO P5II set up problems..help please???

Hi guys,

I am hoping one of you can help me out here??

I have an Aego P5II surround system that I am setting up with this little 20" lcd in my lounge ( Philips 37 pf 9830 on order ) and I cannot get any sound, I have set it up as per the booklet and when I do the test all my speakers hiss as they should do..but... I have a lead running from line one on the back of the P5 to the lcd screen (red/white rca connectors) but I cannot get any sound to come out...only the test hiss!!!

Am I doing something wrong here as it surely can't be that hard to set up...can it???

If anyone can help me out it would be much appreciated ??

Cheers

Mike

Hi Mikey, I have the mk1 version of the aego p5's, they're great, it's hard to believe how much power and how good the quality is of these little speakers

I only actually use the optical input at the moment, from my HTPC, but I have used line inputs before and didn't have any problems.

Have you checked the settings on the LCD, are you sure these are actually line output sockets? do they need to be enabled?

One of my mates had a similar problem and had to use the headphone output to his amps line input by using an adapter cable.

Hi,
thanks for the reply...

Do you mean are the connectors on the lcd output sockets.. I presume so..will have to have a look..its only a crappy Sanyo lcd I was given and it only has a scart connector and these two white/red connectors on it, the scart is being used by the freeview box.

Anything else I should be looking for??
