No audio.....help

Hi

I have a denon 500
It is conected to my pw6 plasma via component board, I have sound and a great picture.

My sky+ is conected via the vga on plasma and the sound is via optical to the optical on the denon, all works ok

However, I have connected a playstation 2 to the composite board on plasma and as i want the sound to go through the denon i have used the video 1 for the audio with the video (yellow plug) to the corresponding yellow plug on board on plasma.

Im pulling my hair out trying to get sound but to no avail.

Before anyone askes i have connected the audio to the audio in on video 1 on the denon

Thankyou

Dawn

can you get sound from the playstation when plugged into another audio input on the denon? not being familiar with the model in question, im not sure how many inputs it has.

after looking up specs, the denon appears to have more than one audio input. does plugging the ps2 into an input other then video 1 reproduce any audio or not? i take it your using phono leads rather than an optical connection?

My leads are phono, the optical carries sound from my sky on video2, so leads are in the audio on video1 but no sound for playstation2
