What kind of paint?

i already have a homemade screen up, but the other day i spotted a nice big board of wood which was screaming out to be projected on so i bought it. At the moment i have a material one, with a few ripples, which was annoying me a little and so i was gonna start on painting this. The only thing i was wondering is what is the best type of white. Is matt finish the best, as it gives deeper blacks, or does a slightly glossier effect give sharper colours?

thanks for the help

why not glue the material screen tho the wood, thereby reducing if not eliminating the ripples.

If you go the paint route, matt is the best starting point but "home brew" concoctions containing small amounts of silver paint, pearlescent paint etc seem to becoming popular...PJ

well my paint was quite glossy so i tend to get some reflection from the actual bulb... so i guess matt is the way to go... and the material was smaller than the wood...
