2nd MCE PC as an Extender

Does anyone know if it's possible to use a second MCE PC as a Media Center Extender from a primary MCE PC?

As far as I am aware, you can point MCE machines to a single folder for stored media (Video, Music etc) but you cannot stream live TV (Freeview). One issue is that you cannot control the EPG over the network.

If you want to do this, take a look at SageTV.

Richie.

As far as I know, Only the XBox 360 (Extender) will allow you to access your main MCE PC on another set.

Or a modded xbox and MCX kit, or a stand alone MCX device. There were some people over at www.thegreenbutton.com who were working on some software to install on a second pc to enable it to act as an extender, but not sure whether it was successfull.

So you can use the XBox 360 extender to watch and set recordings of live TV?
