black gold goodness

Well, after battling once more with a Nebula Nova-T USB2 DVB-T tuner, I gave in and bought 2 Black Gold DVB-T cards... wish I'd have bought these from the off. I was impressed that the drivers were Window Certified and even more impressed when Media Center found both cards and tuned them in perfectly and setting up most of the guide entries automatically (I only had to configure two by hand).

Since then, perfect recordings!

Highly reccomended.

Glad you are pleased with them. I've been using them since I had reception problems with my Nebula PCI cards. They are very sensitive and ideal for fringe areas.

They give a great picture which still looks fantastic when put through my sony pj.

Fantastic cards. Neat, fast and very reliable.
Noticeably quicker to change channel than my Haup HVR1100 or any other card I've tried (and resold!)

...and they're low profile too. I had to pay a whacking 50p extra to get the low-profile bracket. I don't know whether they make this clear on the Black Gold website, but the online retailer I bought it from did make this clear.

My only criticisms (not very serious):

The PCI bracket (both heights) is gold. Looks a bit silly at the back of the PC.

The Black Gold website looks like it was made as a GCSE project. This almost put me off buying one until I read all the reviews elsewhere.
