Smile Which DVD Recorder?

Evening all, i said i would buy my mum and dad a dvd recorder for Christmas.

I have a budget of between £80 - £150. It doesnt have to be a top brand name as long as the recorder has no major issues, all i want it to do is to record dvd's well and play all regions of dvd ( possibly with a hack ). Not too fussed about which disks it takes or things like that.

What would you recommend?

Thanks

Panasonic DMRES10, price around £140.00. I know the ones being sold in 'Richersounds' were multi-region.

No need for other suggestions, thats the best one you're gonna get in that price range. Does everything that'll be needed. I've had mine for about 3 months now and its fantastic value for money.

Pity you cannot stretch that £150 to £195 because the Panasonic DMR-ES20D (with integrated Freeview plus analogue tuners) is available for £185 + £10 carriage and this is multiregion modded also.

The freeview picture on this model is superb.
