go to www.tvcables.co.uk and get
1) a scart for SKy+ to TV
2) Optical digital audio cable for DVD-R to Sky+
3) Component leads for DVD-R to TV (or another scart but then u won't be able to use prog. scan)

Not sure about PS2, maybe a optical cable splitter for better sound??

Apart from that obviously u'll probably wanna get some good quality speaker cable.

lol we're all noobs here (well most anyway hehe) so we learn from each other.

Progessive Scan is what will give ur DVD player the best possible picture, assuming ur TV can handle it (don't ask me what ur TV needs though!). My TV can handle it but I only know that cuz I bought a new Hitachi 42PD7200 plasma. However I'm using scarts for connecting DVD to TV so I can't use prog scan (but I am looking into buys component leads soon).

On this forum do a search for TH-R3 and you'll see a few posts on how to best set it up etc. Also do a search for TH-S66 which is the non-recordable DVD version of the TH-R3. Some good users like RobbieRoy, Cupra, Stainway etc have posted very useful information from their experience.
