Question DIY electric projector screen....help !

[FONT=Arial]Hi everyone,

Im a bit new to this home theatre business but am attempting to convert a manual projector screen into an electric one. Anyone got any ideas how to do this ??

Im also trying to build DIY electric curtains/blinds. Again anyone any ideas ?

The high cost of buying these is forcing me down this path so.......

The project would not be too hard for someone with some basic mechanical and electrical knowledge. If I was doing this, I would seek out some geared 12V motors (say, from electric windows on a car), and some limit switches. I would imagine the hardest part would be to keep it unobtrusive and quiet.
